There are 200,000 nerve endings in each foot, and reflexology works on the principle that specific reflexes in the feet correlate to different organs and systems within the body. When pressure is applied to these zones, the flow of energy throughout the whole body is improved.
Reflexology’s deeply relaxing action can help ease tension and calm the mind. It is a wonderfully grounding practice drawing energy back down into the feet when the mind is overactive and experiencing overwhelm.

The deliberate touch of reflexology can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, encouraging the rest and digest state. The relaxation response can lower heart rate, blood pressure, muscle tension, and reduce feelings of stress. Here, hands and touch become medicine. As humans we regulate through contact. Touch is nourishment. The slow rhythmic touch brings warmth and grounding.
If there is an imbalance or issue within the body, the corresponding reflexes in the feet can be sore or painful. This improves over time as the body heals and the reflexes are worked.
The result of a treatment is enhanced mood and a greater feeling of wellbeing and positivity. Reflexology gives a strong message of safety to the body allowing for release, rest, recuperation and renewal.
Your first treatment will involve discussing medical history, completing a brief lifestyle questionnaire together and talking through your expectations and health goals. This allows me to tailor a personal treatment plan.
A full Reflexology treatment will be carried out, and aftercare advice will be given before you leave. Many of my clients start out on fortnightly treatments and move on to monthly maintenance treatments.
I first studied Reflexology in 2007 at Manchester School of Massage. I then went on to do a further year’s training in 2008 at the International School of Reflexology, training in the Ingham Method, once qualified undergoing further training in ART (Advanced Reflexology Techniques). I have been giving treatments for almost 20 years.

I often combine Reiki with Reflexology to provide a deeper release of tension and healing during a treatment.
At times, our life force can feel depleted making us more susceptible to stress and illness. Reiki travels through the hands of the practitioner to the client. It travels within the body to where it is needed to provide emotional support, relaxation, and promote balance.
Common sensations during a Reiki treatment are:
Each person’s experience is unique, and no two treatments are ever the same. Reiki is safe and complementary to all other forms of therapeutic treatments.
Reiki can help process suppressed feelings of grief and trauma. It is a wonderful tool to enhance clarity and deepen the connection to your intuition. It can support decision making and help quieten the mind. Reiki can strengthen our spiritual connection, and it helps forge a deep connection to self.
In the current age of information overload, Reiki offers a reset button. It provides a gentle space to come home to oneself – to remember stillness, to release, to receive.
In clinic I have found that Reflexology and Reiki work beautifully together. The Reflexology works particularly well on the body, the nervous system and the mind, while Reiki works to clear the energetic body, provide emotional support, and lift the spirit.
I completed my Reiki Level One and Two trainings and attunements in 1999 in Dharamsala, India, my Reiki Master training in 2007 in the UK, and underwent further training in 2024. I have been practicing Reiki for over 25 years.
